Aniraulaurtutut Kamajignit (AK) supports Inuit foster families who open their homes to children in need of care. AK works alongside foster parents, helping them feel supported, confident and connected as they provide a safe, stable and caring home. The service also helps ensure that children remain connected to their families, culture, language and community whenever possible.
As a Aniraulaurtutut Kamajignit (Foster Family Worker), you will strengthen Inuit foster care by building strong relationships with foster families and the children in their care.
You will encourage, support and guide foster parents as they care for children with different experiences and needs. Through regular visits, practical support and collaboration with other professionals, you will help foster families succeed and help children thrive.
